“Young Parents are young people too! We support young parents!”

The mission of the Growing Together Programme is to create a supportive  environment where young parents and children can learn and have fun together. The aim is to provide the support participants need to become confident and capable families. We encourage young parents to become peer supporters and offer them training to best achieve this in the community.

Growing Together is progressive and open minded young parent support network based at St Anne’s Hall in Andover. What we offer is a safe space for parents between the ages of 16-25 which enables valuable opportunities for young people in similar situations to interact with both one another and experienced professionals. Discussion is highly encouraged and we pride ourselves on being able to tailor specialist sessions to our members needs. Common topics include: Parental support and advice, Accessing support for you and your child, First Aid for infants, Baby massage and Relaxation techniques, Adverse childhood experiences, Arts and crafts, and Workshops for home entertainment.

In order to keep sessions as efficient as possible we ask when possible that only one parent per family to attend at one time. Attendance of your child is highly encouraged as everything we do relates to them. We welcome pregnant and expecting parents, parents with a child in or out of care, and parents with a child in school. The group occurs on Wednesdays 10:30am - 12:00pm every week during term time.  If you would like to get involved you can either be nominated through an official body or apply to us directly. For more details on the programme and on how to get involved do get in contact with us.

Applications are processed through a form on the ’Nominations‘ page of this website. A button taking you to this page can be found at the bottom of the page.
