“Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life”

The idea behind the Gold Project is that we wanted to create free to access opportunities for young people that would enable them to experience something new. Every activity we run through this programme is designed to engage participants in a variety of exciting situations that will encourage them to discover what they are truly passionate about. In short, to find their seam of Gold!

We aim to set up as wide a variety of events as possible and to always consult the young people we are working with to find out their interests. We put on activities based around (but certainly not limited to): Sport and Football, Gaming, Social Media, Art, Cooking, Animals, Music, Dance, Drama, and Culture. We encourage everyone we work with to continue to explore their newfound passions beyond the sessions and will do everything we can to provide support. Assisting to set up work placements and further experience can definitely be part of this, but is by no means mandatory.

As part of this project we also run weekly sessions at Riverside Bowl. These give our young people a place to have fun in a non pressured environment, as well as an opportunity to play some Glow Golf and Bowling.
