As experienced professionals we know that each young person has their own unique abilities and strengths. We give them space to shine and celebrate their individuality whilst working on your goals.
We provide young people with essential life skills they need to flourish. Key topics include: Finance, Home Matters, Health and Wellbeing, Career Advice, and Relationships.
We all learn from each other in compassionate safe spaces without any judgement.
“I believe that everyone has a seam of GOLD but for some this has been buried deep. It takes one person to enable this gold to shine through, a trusted person who can help you to believe in yourself. My mission is to be able to provide young people with this relationship and to see their GOLD shine through” Siobhan - CEO of Yellow Brick Road Projects.
The core ethos of our organisation and programmes is to “Engage, Educate, Evolve”. In our work we believe the first crucial step is to truly engage with and understand the young people we work with. We have great pride in our ability as professionals to listen and are very proud that we design these programmes through discussions with the individuals we provide support to. This puts young people at the heart of what we do and allows them to be in control.
Once we have listened and learned, the next step is to see in which ways we can best provide support and educate in order to provide vital life skills. The aim is to help find support networks, to build resilience, and reduce feelings of loneliness.
The culminating step is to put these ideas into practice and allow the young people we work with to successfully evolve and follow their own paths, now better equipped to deal with the challenges that lie ahead. After all, our founding philosophy is to ‘Help young people find their seam of Gold’. Through this practice we aim to inspire and educate as many young people as possible to provide them with much needed core life skills and advice.
As an organisation we actively promote the diverse interests and backgrounds of our workforce as this is the driving force behind everything we do. This represents our employees, volunteers, and Trustee Board. Follow the link below to find out more
